BRAESIDE
97 Bedford Road Woodford NSW 2778
Ref: P10207 - Cottage in Central West Australia picture
Braeside was built over 30 years ago as a family home. It has now operated as a bed and breakfast for over 6 years, building on its tradition as a welcoming family home. Located within large grounds with established gardens our house offers a peaceful retreat in the “heart” of the Blue Mountains region.

Braeside is ideally located for guests wishing to attend events or visit relatives and friends in Woodford and surrounds, from Springwood to Lawson.
For tourists and travellers our location allows you to visit the many famous scenic attractions of the upper mountains around Katoomba and Leura just twenty five minutes away by car. Take a leisurely browse through the many galleries and antique shops throughout the region. Or visit the 3 National Trust properties within a short distance of Woodford and find out what makes them unique and worth preserving from a bygone mountains era. Or you might want to head 40 minutes by car in an easterly direction to visit the contrasting attractions of the Penrith Valley; attend the rowing or watch the whitewater rafting at Penrith Lakes.
Braeside is also well located for those who just want to explore the bush surrounds of the mountains. We are one kilometre from the National Park leading to Murphy’s Glen Picnic grounds. For the more energetic visitor we offer an excellent midway stop between the cycling/walking tracks of the Anderson Trail coming from Wentworth Falls and the Oaks Trail leading to Glenbrook National Park.

But for those who don’t want to venture too far you can curl up with the paper, a magazine or a book from the shelves. Finish the day with dinner at Braeside and then retire to the open log fire to relax.

On warmer days there are many choices within the surrounding parklike gardens or you might choose to relax in the sundrenched garden room accompanied by the sounds of visiting birds.

Watch the sunset which drifts into the valley at the end of our garden.
